Jacob Sartorius

JacobRolf Jacob Sartorius was born in Tulsa, Oklahoma. He was taken to Virginia to be adopted after his parents were sick and were not able or willing to care for him. His adoptive parents brought him up at home in Reston Virginia. Seven year old, Sartorius was singing in musicals and uncovered his love for performing. In the days before the closing of Vine as an American short-form video hosting platform, in 2017, Sartorius lip-syncing videos posted on Vine gained more than 8 million users as of August 2016. Social media allowed him to get away from the sexism of which he had previously been a victim. He said before Musical.ly that he wasn't confident. He believed that nobody was watching other than the camera.
